Emotional Intelligence explores how thoughts create feelings.  Here’s a deceptively simple tool.  When I’m caught in a worry cycle, I can use this flowchart as a good reminder.  I can examine my situation and take action.  One action is changing my thoughts –which will change my feelings.

  1. I had to laugh when I saw this, Laura…I have a 93-year old Italian Aunt Nella who always tells me (I’ll give it to you in English) “Pat, if there’s something you can do about the situation, why worry. If there’s nothing you can do about it, why worry!” This flowchart is her wisdom in graphic form! This philosophy has carried her this far this far, so it must be good!

    Thanks, Laura

  2. I would love to teach kids and many an adult to follow this…It wd help a lot!
