Ekta Vyas, Ph.D. is a management scholar-practitioner with over 20 years of progressive consulting and leadership experience spanning across academic, healthcare, manufacturing and technology industries. Ekta’s major feats have been in developing and leading teams and programs through times of transformational change in organizations. Currently, Ekta is a Director of Human Resources at Stanford Children’s Health and Adjunct Management Faculty with Lucas College and Graduate School of Business at San Jose State University. A Forbes Human Resources Council member and contributor, Ekta also serves on the IHRIM (International Association of Human Resources Information Management) Board of Directors.
Ekta’s areas of practitioner expertise and research interest include strategic HR management, transformational change and leadership, emotional intelligence, employee engagement, talent management and people analytics. With a Ph.D in Organization and Management, and a terminal M.S degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, she is passionate about applying systems thinking framework to analyze and address the complex realities of today’s organizations. An elected member of SIOP (Society of Industrial/Organizational Psychology) and Academy of Management, Ekta is a regular panel and conference speaker, is published in academic and practitioner journals, and is a certified Emotional Intelligence Assessor and Coach.
