Being successful and effective in today’s changing business environment is driven by much more than cognitive intelligence and technical skills.

As the world has changed, so have the requirements for Leaders and staff to leverage a new set of operating principles: self-awareness, self-management, motivation, collaboration, authenticity, empathy, adaptability and resilience; in other words, Emotional Intelligence.

Accredited Six Seconds Participants will dive deeper into the SEI Leadership EQ report to optimize the dialogue during an EQ debrief on the three pursuits of the 6 Seconds model; Know yourself – Self-awareness, Choose Yourself – Self-management and Give Yourself – Self-direction, focusing on the synergies between EQ competencies to enhance the individual’s effectiveness, influence, quality of life, decision making and relationships.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of synergies between EQ competencies
  • Understand the key coaching principles during an EQ debrief
  • Learn practical tools to support the development of EQ competencies

Participants:

EQ Debrief – Deep Dive is designed for Six Seconds accredited professionals in the SEI Leadership tool who want to gain a deeper understanding of how to unlock key outcomes in the SEI Leadership report during an EQ debrief so clients can create an effective EQ Action Plan, and for participants who want to use the Six Seconds SEI Leadership tool within a coaching environment.

Instructional Methods 

This is a one-hour online class. Following attendance to the online class, independent work will be required, putting your learning into action. In the assignment, you will complete a one-hour SEI Leadership EQ debrief and provide a 1,000 word reflection summary on your learnings from the EQ debrief.

Assessment Procedures 

Participants will submit their 1,000 word reflection summary to facilitators Angela & John within 3 weeks of the virtual online class.

Angela Giacoumis

Angela is the founder and former CEO of Careerlink People Solutions a 28 year old human resource consultancy and CEO of Emotous, focused on building agility and performance in organizations through the integration of Emotional Intelligence, neuroscience and people analytics. Angela is a successful business leader, coach and entrepreneur defining and executing effective people strategies particularly in the areas of engagement, high performance leadership and change. Angela is a certified ICF coach and EQ practitioner having completed extensive Business and HR studies.

John Dare

John is Co-CEO of Emotous; with over 20 years experience coaching and consulting individuals and organizations through transformation; John has a record of successfully delivering performance and growth. John holds an international MBA with Honors, St Mary’s College of California and is an experienced executive coach and certified Emotional Intelligence practitioner. As an experienced entrepreneur John has built a number of successful businesses in technology and communications.

Accreditation

To earn the ACE units, participants are required to attend the entire 60-minute virtual online classroom session live (recorded session also available) and complete a 2-hour assignment (1-hour SEI Leadership EQ debrief and a 1,000 word reflection summary). The final assignment must be completed within 3 weeks of the online class.
