Ben Nothnagel is a South African living in Helsinki Finland and he is a senior associate at Aalto University Executive Education, and a visiting lecturer at both KEDGE Business School and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
He is a certified Six Seconds EQ Practitioner and Assessor, a certified Myers-Briggs interpreter, certified SDI conflict management practitioner and is an alumni of the Presencing Institute at MIT in Boston.
His experience stretches over 25 years, first as an Attorney at Law specializing in mergers and acquisitions, and then as a developer and facilitator of executive education programs for international business schools, global organisations and cultural institutions.
He is expanding his research to include applied neuro-science and more specifically to understand the impact of cortical connectivity on the self development, wellbeing and performance of leaders and influencers.
In addition to working with business leaders and experts Ben has also worked with the dancers, musicians and leaders of the Finnish National Opera and has coached the leaders of several cultural funds and institutions in Finalnd.
In collaboration with Aalto EE Ben is currently guiding the leadership and self development journeys of 18 Nordic leaders representing the wide ranging arts and culture scene in Finland Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Lithiania and Germany.
In early 2020 Ben will also work with the leader of the Finnish National Ballet School to explore putting emotional intelligence at the heart of;
- leading an important national cultural institution
- creating a learning environment for young dancers that will help unlock their potential and promote their wellbeing
In the autumn 2020 of Ben hopes to integrate the Six Seconds Emotional Intelligence Model into the self development process of the Aalto EE Executive MBA programs
