EI Testing Certification
MSCEIT Professional Certification: EI Assessment and Development:
Get your license to use the Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test plus coaching and training modules.
From the pioneers who first defined emotional intelligence in a rigorous scientific model, the MSCEIT is an insightful tool for performance management, training, and recruitment. 1n 1990, Dr. Peter Salovey (Yale) and Dr. Jack Mayer (UNH) published the first scientific definition of EI. Together with Dr. David Caruso, that rigorous model was researched for 12 years into a powerful assessment that identifies the four core abilities of EI.
The MSCEIT is a well-researched, 30-minute, online or paper test, and the only "ability measure" of emotional intelligence. Where "self-report" tests ask, "How good are you at perceiving emotions?" on the MSCEIT people actually have to read emotions -- so it can't be "fooled" by people who have an unrealistic self-perception or who want to raise their scores.
Join world-class facilitators in a powerful collaboration. Test coauthor and business-EI expert Dr. David Caruso is joined by Joshua Freedman, a world leader in practical approaches to train and develop emotional intelligence (see bios below). This dynamic duo will share cutting-edge science, best-practices in training, and their wealth of practical experience in an exciting, enjoyable, and effective program.
After completing this course, you will be able to:

The Mayer-Salovey-Caruso model of emotional intelligence. Based on extensive and rigorous research, the model explains the intelligence of emotions with four abilities:
- Identifying Emotions - the ability to recognize how you and others feel.
- Using Emotions - the ability to generate emotion, and to reason, think and create with this emotion.
- Understanding Emotions - the ability to understand people's emotions, what causes emotions, and how emotions change.
- Managing Emotions - the ability which allows you to harness the power of your emotions to make effective decisions and choices.
Using the MSCEIT to objectively measure EI. Delegates will learn how to administer this assessment in the most effective and ethical way.
