I hope your summer time is progressing wonderfully!
I'd intended to send this email a few weeks ago but it's
just been so busy here! This month I ran a MSCEIT
Certification with David Caruso at Yale, then did a
keynote and two workshops for the First Five
commissions' conference, and tomorrow I'm off to teach
our new course on EQ and change leadership - The Inside
Path to Change. Then another EQ Trainer Certification
in Saskatoon, Canada for our allies in the Youth Solvent
Addiction Centres.
I recently updated our training calendar, but now we've
added a new EQ Trainer Certification in Hungary in
January, and in Portugal at the end of March. Let me
know if you are interested. And check the schedule:

We have three new products that will be of great value to
people involved in EQ -- two for everyone (SEI test and
The Journey to Wild Divine), and one for trainers
(Sneetch Marbles). Please check these out:
SEI:
The Six Seconds Emotional Intelligence Test is now
available for purchase online. The 20 page report
explains each part of our EQ model, why it matters in life
and work, discusses your score, and provides many ideas
for developing and applying EQ. More info:

Sneetch Marbles, Inc.
A highly effective, hands-on training module showing the
impact of emotions on performance. Built around a
simulation of working in the Sneetch Marble factory,
participants explore their patterns, leadership, power,
and the importance of engagement. I've used this
exercise in a variety of ways with dozens of audiences
(from 10 to 180 people), and it always engages people,
challenges them, and provokes important discussion.

The Journey to Wild Divine:
I've been playing this new computer game with Emma and
finding it so exciting that we decided to carry it in our
store (www.EQstore.com). As you navigate through a
mystical world filled with beauty and wise teachers, you
learn powerful ideas for self-discovery and self-
management. Then you get to try out the idea in
interactive experiences -- you're connected to the
computer with a biofeedback sensor, and as you change
your emotional, mental, and physical energy, the computer
responds instantly.
Just a few minutes ago I was trying one of the
challenging exercises -- trying to open the doors of a
temple by maintaining a level of fierce attention -- fully
focusing on the image of the doors. After a few minutes
(while I was not yet successful at opening the doors) I
left the game full of energy and focus!
Emma (age 6) has been playing with me. After solving a
puzzle of placing colored crystals in the right places, we
met the "Lady of Compassion" who talked about our
responsibility for bringing love into the world. Emma and
I have been practicing calm, peaceful breathing.
The Journey to Wild Divine blends ancient Buddhist and
Hindu teachings with high tech and a creative, engaging
realm. Definitely a "new age" slant, but if you're ok with
that, I HIGHLY recommend this game.
