New Project Linking People Committed to
Emotional Intelligence: The EQ Alliance

The EQ Alliance continues to develop! The interim
mission: A world-wide association sharing information
and commitment to enhance emotional intelligence
training, education, and research. ( http://www.nexusEQ.com/assoc/ )

The EQ Alliance is an inclusive association of practitioners
allies, researchers, authors, and friends of emotional
Intelligence. It was launched by the Town Hall Meeting
at the 2004 NexusEQ Conference in Orlando.

I've committed to keep information about the
project flowing, and I'd appreciate your help
spreading the word. Details are on the EQ

Several volunteers are moderating online discussions
on EQ and leadership, education, and training. The
latest group is EQ for HR -- see below. Please join

This is a new special interest group that aims
to link the professional HR community with best
practices, research, and resources in emotional
intelligence. Our initial task is to define the
direction of the SIG and engage new members --
so please join us!

Current Objectives:
- Define an agenda for next six months leading
up to NexusEQ Holland.
- Identify key "hot buttons" HR Practitioners
(why do they care about EQ?)

Scheduled events:
- Dec 8, Chat room on "Why do HR people care about
EQ?" 10a-11a Pacific Time (GMT-8)
- Dec 13, Chat room on "Why do HR people care about
EQ?" 4p-5p Pacific Time (GMT-8)
- Dec 16, Jan 17, Moderator "office hours" on the
forum 10a-12p Pacific Time (GMT-8)
- Jan 15, deadline to post any wishes and ideas
for the HR SIG Agenda i.e. what will we work towards
for Holland?? (or email to April West
)
