The majority of my writing time goes to the books and materials we publish at Six Seconds. We work to create practical tools for implementing emotional intelligence in schools, institutions, businesses, and homes. To the right, some of the articles I have authored are listed.

Moreover, Six Seconds maintains a website (www.6seconds.org) designed to provide background data, resources, training opportunities, networking, etc.

Six Seconds also sponsors a yearly conference dedicated to sharing the latest research, tools, and experiences from both national and international experts and practitioners -- read about NexusEQ.

My team at Six Seconds and I have had a productive year publishing resources for emotional intelligence. Some highlights:

The Emotional Intelligence Leadership Report and the Strengths Report for our EQ assessment.

The Emotional Literacy Museum - a highly interactive learning experience where participants engage in over a dozen exercises to see how emotions link to physiology, performance, art, music, and how they can be changed.

One tool in the museum is a research-validated set of cards with facial expressions subtly showing different emotions. This product is called Feeling Faces. The face shown to the left, for example, shows Acceptance and Anticipation (according to the 239 people who evaluated it).


The 2007 Handle With Care Emotional Intelligence Calendar is currently on a ship from China and will be in stores soon. Here is a image of the press sheet:
