You might want to put on a happy face at work, no matter how grumpy you feel, if you hope to advance, a new study suggests.
Supervisors are more likely to evaluate optimists as high performers, says the research conducted by the Institute for Organizational Performance of San Mateo.
Optimism scores correlated significantly with the company’s performance management scores, it says, confirming that even in a technical position, emotional intelligence skills are key to job success
